Counterfog technology is not a marketing promise: it is backed by independent third-party validation, a European standard (CWA 18277), peer-reviewed publications, the EU FP7 project and real operational use by emergency and security forces.
01 · External verification
Prestigious organisations, external to the product's development, have verified key aspects of the technology in their own laboratories.
The Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa (CBMSO), CSIC-UAM, verified that Counterfog's BIAFTS sampler captures the bacteriophage Phi29 (a model virus) with 100% efficiency and that, in addition, it was able to capture SARS-CoV-2 in the air of a hospital room with COVID-19 patients. Signed by Prof. Antonio Alcamí.
