2. Results from microorganisms collected using Counterfog BIAFTS

Identified at least 5 species of airborne bacteria in the aerosol sample using Counterfog Bioaerosol Fast Sampler (BIAFTS).

BIAFTS took a sample in 1 or 2 minutes of any air-borne microorganism present in the room bringin it to a liquid sample that was filtered and cultivated (see on the picture).
Sequencing aprox 1500 nucleotids of the 16S rRNA gene led to identifying the following :

  • Col 1: Bhargavaea ullalensis.
  • Col 2: Staphylococcus epidermidis.
  • Col 3: Rhodococcus.
  • Col. 4: Rummeliibacillus stabekisii.
  • Col. 6.7&8: Staphylococcus epidermidis.
